Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee continues to experience discomfort and pain in her leg and waist after sustaining injuries during the emergency landing of her helicopter in North Bengal. Despite undergoing two and a half hours of physiotherapy at her residence on Wednesday, the Chief Minister's condition has not significantly improved.
On Thursday, a team of doctors from SSKM Hospital, including the head of the medicine department and a physiotherapist, will visit her residence in Kalighat to conduct a further medical examination.
The Chief Minister had undergone an MRI at SSKM Hospital on Tuesday, which revealed an injury in the joint on the outer part of her leg and waist. Although the doctors recommended her admission to the hospital, Mamata Banerjee declined the suggestion and even refused to sit on a wheelchair. The doctors have stressed the need for her leg to rest for the time being as she is currently facing difficulty in walking. They estimate that the Chief Minister will have limited mobility for at least a week.
Despite the initial medical interventions, the Chief Minister's health condition has not shown significant improvement, prompting the need for further evaluation and treatment. The team of doctors from SSKM Hospital will assess her condition and provide appropriate care based on the examination's findings. The medical experts will work closely with Mamata Banerjee to address her injuries and alleviate her discomfort.
